NEW CDC Guidelines for travel into the United States from an international location

Stars N Skyes Travel® is aware of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) order effective January 26, 2021, requiring all travelers entering the United States from any location outside of the U.S. to present a negative COVID-19 test result 72 hours prior to departure.We are sharing the information we have at this time and are closely monitoring the situation. Proactively we are engaged with hotel suppliers, destinations and ground handlers to ensure this latest travel update is managed seamlessly. More details on specific testing requirements and processes will be shared as they become available. You can also visit cdc.gov for the press release and latest CDC updates. Stars N Skyes Travel® is able to reschedule international travel before the new requirements take effect on January 26.


If you are traveling after February 9th, please be patient to allow those traveling sooner to get assistance as quickly as possible. We are working closely and quickly with our suppliers to make sure our clients have a seamless experience and peace of mind while on vacation.We will continue to share all information as we learn more. NOTE: If you are flying on Delta they have proactively issued a fare difference waiver for customers rebooking international tickets purchased on or before January 12, 2021. The fare difference will be waived for customers originally scheduled to travel internationally to the U.S. through February 9, 2021, if you choose to rebook your travel to begin on or before January 25, 2021.

If you are flying American the vast majority of travel booked, including short- and long-haul international flights, does not have change fees. You can learn more about American’s elimination of change fees by visiting aa.com. Additionally, American is waiving the fare difference for customers with travel scheduled Jan. 12 through Feb. 9. These customers may rebook in the same cabin of service with no charge for the same origin and destination. New travel must start on or before Jan. 25.


The one question that has come up is can you receive a refund and the answer depends on the type of insurance you purchased with your vacation package. Please refer to the terms of your insurance policy for the answer to your question. Stars N Skyes Travel® doesn't have the authority to grant refunds. It is up to the supplier and the travel policy that you purchased. be advised that if you were given a future travel voucher from Delta Vacations, they have extended the expiration date to allow you to book your future vacation by December 31, 2021. You can pick travel dates as far out as December 31, 2022. Delta Vacations is not giving any refunds. You must abide by the terms of your insurance policy.
