From Delhi, visit the breath-taking Taj Mahal, then see an abundance of wildlife including (hopefully!) Tigers in Ranthambore National Park. From here its east to Rajasthan, and the colorful cities, forts, and beautiful palaces of Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur, via the desert dunes of Bikaner, all whilst being served the very best of Indian and local cuisines. Your journey ends in Mumbai, the thriving metropolis and Bollywood home.

DAY 1: Your journey begins in Dehli
No matter what time you arrive, a representative will meet you and take you directly to The Imperial Hotel to relax and refresh. Spend the day at leisure. (Overnight Delhi)

DAY 2: Delhi
Embark on a full-day private city tour of Delhi today, starting with visits to Hama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, and a phot stop at the Red Fort. Explore Raj Ghat, the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi. In new Delhi, drive past the vast Presidential Palace, India Gate, Parliament House, and visit Qutab Minar and the spectacular Humayun’s Tomb. (Overnight Delhi)

DAY 3: Overnight onboard the Maharajas Express - Delhi to Agra
Following an early breakfast at your hotel it’s off to the station to meet your fellow passengers for this six-night odyssey. Brunch is served onboard as your travel to the ‘City of Mughal Splendour’. Visit perhaps the world’s most famous building - the gorgeous Taj Mahal. Constructed entirely out of white marble, the colours and shapes are truly something to behold. Return to the train to refresh, then you can select to visit a spa at a 5* hotel or watch a spectacular live show of traditional dance and music, or even explore the rest of Agra city with a private guide. DAY 4: Overnight onboard the Maharajas Express - Agra To Ranthambore
Embark on an early morning visit to the exquisite Agra Fort, and one last view of the Taj Mahal. Its back onboard for a relaxed breakfast as you begin the journey to Ranthambore. Lunch is served before your arrival at the National Park. Originally the private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Jaipur, the park is famous for its open sightings of Sambar Deer, Chital, Nilgai, Chinkara, Wild Boar, Sloth Bears, Hyenas, Jackals, Leopards, and of course Tigers. A jeep safari will give you the best chance of an elusive sighting or two, then later its back onboard for dinner, en-route to Jaipur. (Overnight Onboard)

DAY 5: Overnight onboard The Maharajas Express – Jaipur
Embark on an exciting tour of the pink city with a visit to the fascinating Amber Fort, showcasing a blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Explore the royal apartments, including the Chamber of Mirrors and the Hall of Victory, before returning to the train for lunch or opting for additional activities such as spa facilities, a visit to the City Palace and Jantar Mantar- (an amazing collection of ancient astronomical instruments) or a private car tour with a guide. This evening indulge in an exclusive dinner at the majestic Rambagh Palace hotel, an original residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur and now a luxury hotel. Return to the train to continue your journey overnight, to Bikaner. (Overnight Onboard)

DAY 6: Overnight onboard The Maharajas Express – Bikaner
Enjoy the scenery as the train makes it way through the Rajasthani countryside, en-route to Bikaner. On arrival visit the Lalgarh Palace museum to get a better understanding of the city’s royal heritage, then lunch is served onboard. In the afternoon visit the truly breath-taking Junagarh Fort which dates from 1593, then in the evening indulge in a royal experience as a convoy of camel carts accompanied by musicians takes you to the Sand Dunes. Here enjoy sipping cocktails and a tasty barbeque while watching traditional folk dances. At around 8pm you return to the train to continue you journey to The Blue City, of Jodhpur. DAY 7: Overnight Onboard The Maharajas Express – Jodhpur
It’s a leisurely breakfast onboard this morning as the train arrives in the ancient stronghold of the Marwar region. Optional tours include a visit to the fascinating Bishnoi villages to experience rural India, spa treatment at a 5* hotel, a city tour, or visits to Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum and the impressive Jaswant Thada. After lunch onboard the train it’s a visit of the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort – perhaps the most beautiful Fort in all Rajasthan. Take a stroll through the Old Clock Tower market, then a Tuk Tul ride to get a glimpse of the daily lifestyle of local residents. Enjoy a cocktail evening with delicious Marwar culinary delights in a highly exclusive venue, then its back to the train and onwards to Udaipur. (Overnight Onboard)

DAY 8: Overnight onboard The Maharajas Express – Udaipur
Following a leisurely breakfast onboard, arriving at the City of Lakes and begin your exploration with a serene boat ride on Lake Pichola. Then, its on to the grand City Palace where an audio guide will guide you around the spectacular rooms including the Crystal Gallery and the Durbar Hall, where you can learn more about the palaces’ vast history. Next visit the Fateh Prakash Palace for a sumptuous feast, then it's back to the train for a fun filled evening on your way to Mumbai. (Overnight Onboard)

DAY 9: Mumbai
It’s a relaxing day onboard the train as you meander through to Mumbai. On arrival, bid farewell to the train crew and your fellow passengers as you are transferred to the wonderful Taj Palace hotel for a three-night stay. (Overnight Mumbai)

DAY 10: Mumbai
Today enjoy a private city tour of this fabulous metropolis. Explore the bustling markets of Colaba, soak in the stunning views of Marine Drive, delve into the history at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and conclude the day with a glimpse of the vibrant Bandra neighborhood and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. DAY 11: Your journey ends in Mumbai
Enjoy your final breakfast in Mumbai at your hotel before making your way to the airport in a private transfer
